You forgot the most important one.
Owning face harder than any other class uncontested ever since day 1.
OP: Basically... Times have changed, aye. Passive defense, blocks, melee shutdown has become stronger over the years.
But the fact remains, warriors are the scariest damage dealing class in the game. Listen to the advice here, and you'll be fine. And don't worry if you find yourself blind, or needing a healer - it's a team game. The rest of the party keeps you healthy or shuts down the enemy, you tear stuff to pieces.

1.33 (4/3rds of a second), reduced to .8888... (8/9ths of a second) with 33% IAS.
And raise your swordsmanship to at least 14.

warriors are the best melee profession in the game. their ability to survive, actively disrupt, and plain old damage surpasses pretty much anything else. if you're having problems, then you are doing it wrong.

I posted roughly the same post once and trust me i was extremely wrong warriors are your main source of killing on a team. If its PVP ur warrior isnt to good on then id go for the shock build. Im sure some one will let you know what tht is i would but i gotta shoot. its a little hard to get use to at first but once u know it, its deadly.
And listen to Stormlord Alex it was him who made me try tht build he knows whats hes on about.

Did the OP just say that he was using Heal Sig at 3 Tactics? And I had always thought there wasn't a use for Mending. Now I realize I may be wrong.
There's no use in complaining that you need a monk when you don't even bring any self heals. And no, Heal Sig won't really heal you at 3 Tactics. It's not even worth bringing at 3 Tactics, in PvE or PvP. A zero spec Healing Breeze would be five times more usefull (I thought I would never be saying this).
You need to seriously rethink your strategy. IAS and Lion's Comfort may be a start.

if you get completely owned by any class even in AB (which is, no offence, the easiest form of PvP), you're obviously doing something wrong.
A simple shock axe build with healing signet can get a long way when played properly.
Eviscerate - executioner's strike - bull's strike - shock - frenzy - rush - healing signet - res signet
swap out res signet for enraging charge in AB and you're good to go.
14 axe mastery, 9 strength (with res signet) or 10 strength (with enraging), 11 tactics or 10 tactics
full survivor's insignia and one vitae rune or rune of clarity.
Right now there's no warrior PvP build that can outperform a shock axe in terms of versatility and (spike)damage.
Note that you won't win from for example a decent burning arrow ranger or another solo split build, but you should be able to deal with most AB builds.

That's better than a warrior saying "We don't need a monk, I have healing!"

Ok seriously though, I've always been a fan of the W/E. Max out your earth magic and bring [skill]Armor of earth[/skill] and some stances or other AL raising skills and you can tank pretty good.
If your fighting melee oponents [skill]Riposte[/skill][skill]deadly riposte[/skill][skill]Auspicious Parry[/skill] is an ok build since you block most of the attacks and what dmg you do take is greatly reduced because of Armor of Earth.
The downside is that its all conditional damage. They need to attack you for it to work.

/disagree
dervs outclass the warrior, but that would be going off-topic.
warriors are definitely not useless. they can adapt to many roles, including Cond spamming, Kding, spiking, running, farming..the list goes on mate
ps. i agree with stormlord alex' post...for once

Trust me: I never skip advice.
Testing few things atm...
Thank you all.
It seems just my build doesn't work anymore, but yes, plenty of other types out there.
Thank you all, again...

prefer the hamstorm build over the other builds that you posted ..
[skill]Eviscerate[/skill]+[skill]Executioner's Strike[/skill] = damage in two skill slots
for PvE: Dragon slash + Save Yourselves is still king

Luxon V Kurzicks (Alliance battles)
And to keep on topic... The warrior is only effective if you know how to play them. It has the most solo builds, and is the most felible of all the professions. A good dmg output when needed, good pressure (with certain skills to add to the conditions) and obviously the best tank when needed.
As for the primary skills. The sword is good for pressure, axe for dmg output and many strength and tactics buffs supply a good means of defense or tanking alone.
The warrior is definately not a class to be dismissed that easily.

Warriors useless? Depends on how you look at them.
In terms of "tanking," yes most of the time they are useless. But that's giving them the wrong role. My Warrior is currently going DPS with flail, rush, some other jibbily, etc. Not to mention Dragon Slash plus "Save Yourselves!" can give some pretty sweet support if you're getting annoyed with certain areas.

Warriors are great for bashing other peoples faces in.
For me, it's especially fun in AB, when you have a team of guild/alliance mates on vent/ts coordinating whose face to put into the ground next.
I don't find warriors useless at all. Unless you're trying to play a role they aren't fit for. If you're just there to bash stuff into pieces, the warrior does that role just fine. Just don't be stupid.

warriors are one of the main forms of direct damage and deep wound spiking in the game. next to the holy trinity, only rangers and mesmers play a more important role in pvp, and for pve, you'd be a fool to think that the king of melee is "useless". no other class pulls off the consistant, never ending dps of the class, and when all other classes run out of energy, get cornered, or hunted down, the warrior is one of the few classes that can either bail you out, or turn the tides by taking out foes like lightning. only thing close to that is mesmers and possibly a paragon spike.
warriors have been a backbone to this game, and you'd be smart to just reasearch more, and continue playing, but with a better build and strategy. good luck.
